So I retapped the oil drain bolt to a 16mm head and I was wondering what to do about a crush washer? Is there any alternative? Or can I just drill out the original crush washers and they still work?

Would one from a 06+ be a closer fit since they are bigger?

a descent automotive parts store like NAPA or CarQuest will have one to fit, and probably at a third of the price a cycle shop will sell them for.

I've looked and all their oil drain bolt washers are too big.

What diameter is the new bolt at the treads?

when i retapped my 300ex drain hole, it did it with a 14mm self tapper and i went to Pepboys for my washer. They had neoprene washers in the 'help' isle. The box is yellow and black and they have all sorts of drain bolts and washers...i guess its common for people to **** up the hole.

Go to your local hardware store and get a hard nylon washer.
They work great, and cost is about .20 cents. :D

What is the thread o.d. and pitch combination of the factory drain plug? My 250R had a stripped factory plug which is an M12 x 1.5 thread...yours may be the same? Common fix is to use the larger plug and washer from a LT250R which is a 14mm x 1.25; all it takes is a new tap and the right drill bit.
