thats a common problem. not wierd. just beat the he11 out of it and use some wd40. itll come off. and when you do get it off put 4 washers on there next time so it wont happen

my friend got a flat on his recon so i let him borrow my spare holeshots on douglas .190 rims. he had them for a week and i went to get them off and they couldnt budge. I tried wd40, rubber mallet, pipe and hammer to the back of the rim, and it just wouldnt come off. I had to bang the studs outta the hubs.
It cost me like $20 to get all new studs after that.

never again will i let my friends borrow my tires. :grr

yea fourzerozero

is right, next time use washers and flip the bolts so it doesn't dig into the rims

same thing happened to me -- i just took a shaved down 2x4 and hit the rim from the inside with a hammer and the 2x4. Keep on doing this in opposite corners and then try kicking the tire off. after 3 hours of doingthis, my tires came off. Geeze, all that i wanted to do was flip my realtors around for the snow -- now i hope they come back off because i put them back on the same way.

IN short, just kick them till they come off -- make sure the quad is on a stand.

i also tried riding with no nuts on the bolts -- dont try this, it will probably ruin the wheel, plus, it didnt work

take the entire hub off and take something to hit the center of the hub like a piece of wood with a hammer and that might work. kinda hard to explain but its pretty much beating the he11 outta it

I had the same thing happen to me also. I did pretty much what fourzerozero did, but after I got the hub off of the rim, I drilled out my wheels a 32nd over the original size. I don't have that trouble anymore.

i've never taken the hub off before on my 400. is it easy?

yea u just need to take the center nut off and it slides right off the axle

what about that little pin?

You have to remove that little pin before you remove the axle nut. If it's not to damaged, you can re-use it, but if not, you'll have to buy a replacement.

i kinda prefer bangin the he11 out of it method even though it seems like its not working. is it possible that the rim is rusted on the bolts?

just take the cotter pin out then take a mexican socket set (crescent wrench) and take the center bolt off it comes off real easy

dam things do it on myy recon too, its cuz theres so much metal omn the hub touching the wheel, i usually take the bolts of and ride it around the yard doing fishtails until they come loose, just try not to go to fast

one time I couldnt get them off my recon so I took the hub off and then just hit the bolts goin around makin sure they're all goin down the same amount and you'll be all set

i had this problem before. Dont take the hub off. Get a high lift jack and put the other tire on with the lug nuts. lay the fourwheeler on its side with the tire that wont come off in the air. put the jack on the the good tire and jack it up until the jack hits the bad tire. keep jacking and it should pop of on one bolt. them spin the wheel jacking it up at each. besure to put a 2x4 between the jack and the tire so the rim does not get bent. hope this helps

I had that happen to me too. I drove the lug studs out. I put a nut on them and beat the nut until the stud came out of it's seat. To put it back on just tighten the lug nuts and it will reseat itself. It was definately easier than taking the hub off, and then maybe doing the same thing.

success!! after having my 250 pound friend sit on my quad, i got a sludge hammer and beat it viciously. It came loose and i was so glad. i got the ITP holeshots XCT's rear and they are bulky! these things are a lot bigger than my holeshots. does anybosy else use these tires? and if so, post a pic of it
