This may sounds stupid but i just made the switch to Kawi from Honda so far I love the quad but i went to my first race on it yesterday and I couldnt turn. I would slide into the corners fine but once i hit the gas it felt like the front end would just "Float" It was like the wheels woundnt be touching the ground and i just went straight and then Also i was going down a straight away and then it just died .. there was no braking or anything involved i just was going and it just shut off. Once i got stopped it started right back up but i dont know if this is a serious issue or what ... But if you could give me some help that would be great...I prolly sound stupid and its something simple but just figured id ask.

Thanks

Have you checked your roll over sensor?

They will do that sometimes when you get lucky lol. Mine did the same thing on the MX track...just check to make sure its secured tight.

get rid of that roll over sensor. And the floating in turns can be either your shock settings or tire type/pressure. I'd recomend maxxis razr cross fronts. And good luck with your next race

Thanks guys and would you just silicone it down ? Or what are the other ways and is it true that a 400 ex oil filter will work ? Is there anything else I need to be aware of I'm just trying to get used to it didn't know f there are any other tricks out there for it

use zip ties to keep the roll over from moving

As for the 400ex oil filter...no. Just stick with the kawi oil filter. I was also told that the 400ex filter would work and it didnt.

you know the 400 filter would probably work cause the 300 is the same as the kfx's

What you are describing is a "push"... or if you are into car racing at all "tight".

I've had the issue with mine too, and how/when it pushes depends on the terrain for me.

Pushing through the middle and on exit though are kind of tricky. Because it can be something you need to dial in... and it can also be a throttle control thing too...

I would suggest you first check your front end toe-in settings. You are looking for roughly 0 ~ 3/4" of toe-in.

If you are turning in really well and you are inside this range with the bike sitting empty on level ground, leave it alone. If not adjust.

My guess is that you are probably going to have to play with the shocks more to get them dialed in for you.

I'm still tweaking on my toe-in settings and shocks.

400EX filter should work.

I use Hiflofiltro filters... and own both the 400EX and KFX 450R... and both use the same Hiflofiltro HF-112 filter.
