It can be made to work, but you lose the advantage of a full system pipe when you put the extra bends and kink in it. You would be better off to sell your pipe and get one for that year.

I just put an 06+ Sparks on an 04. Minor tweaking by hand, no major bends and no kinks. No advantages lost at all. Take your stock pipe off and put the Sparks header in there. Feel how the head pipe fits into the head and look at how the end fits between the carb and the frame. You want the flange to sit flat on the head and you want enough clearance between the pipe and frame and the pipe and carb. I might have tweaked mine 1/4 to 1/2 inch to get it to fit. The tabs on the can matched up to the subframe with no issues.

OK, Got it. I'm going the other way though. Mines an 07 quad w/ an 04 pipe. I searched & on here some say yes some say no. but I'll keep you info in mine. To bad we didn't switch pipes w/ each other :)

Yeah... I thought that too... But It would have taken more effort to box it and ship it than it did to make it fit. It was that easy...

Just remember, the pipe is thin and doesn't take much to bend it, so do a little at a time... Not to much pressure, you don't want to over bend it and have to go back. That's when you end up kinking the pipe.

Well... They won't... Unless you tweak them.

Like I said I had to slightly bend the header to get it to fit between the carb and the frame. So out of the box from Sparks directly, not they won’t fit. After slight, slight modification they fit perfect.

My header clamp is stamped "06" and the can is stamped "06" and I assure you the 10th number of my vin is a "4" signifying it as a 2004...

There is a difference between won't fit and can't fit. It won't fit unless you fix it... A CRF pipe can't fit...

ok, I hear ya. I just sold my 04 yesterday. Not sure what I'm gonna do. The kid wants a dasa. maybe I'll buy that & give it to him & I'll take his sparks. I hear or people have said dasa is louder than sparks. have u heard that
