well i am redoing my motor and building it up myself... but i don' know what kind of piston i want... and what is worth getting.. i wanna up it more but don't wanna use race gas... i have a hotcam stage 2, jet kit exhaust ,airbox..... just trying to see what piston is worth getting.. i like the cp piston but, how high can i go on just pump gas...

You're going to get mixed opinions about it, but I wouldn't run pump above 13:1. What year is your bike?

You can safely run pump on 12.5:1, IMO. It will be a nice upgrade since your stock piston is 10.7:1.

Running 12:1 won't decrease your reliability at all. Changing 1 or 2pts in compression is hardly any change at all.
The 06+ bikes even come stock 12:1.

Cp only lists a 12:1 because that is what they stock as a shelf piston. But u can order any comp you want.

If you ever plan on installing a stroker crank I'd recommend getting the 12:1 because the crank will increase you to about 12.4:1.
If not, go for the 12.5:1.
Either way you do it, you won't feel the difference of a half a point in compression.
