whats all involved in putting 400ex front suspension undr a 300? i know the a arms and shocks need replaced but is it just a simple unbolt the old an bolt the new or is there modifications that need to be done? also is there any other rear shocks that will fit on the 300?

the a arms are bolt on bolt of with no mod. for 400ex shocks you need a relocator preferably jb its the best one con be found at jbatvracing.com or you can get long travel 400ex with on the relocator and the 400ex shocks work.

01 rear raptor shock will work

from what I have read!!! it is just the 01 shock. the other years may be differant. I would deff do some reserch before you buy. and it sounds like the blader goes out unless you have it revalved.

You can only use a 01 raptor 660 shock. The reason is it has the remote reservoir. The raptor shock will bolt right on but there is no good spot to mount the reservior. So the line to the reservior needs to lengthened so it is 14-16 inches long. then the reservior can be mounted to the frame. You can get a 01 660 shock off of ebay for under 100 buck. its a cheap and worth while upgrade.
