I have read through some post that say you can find the Elkas with SSD and Comp adj. for around 750-800 dollars. Is that the price for one front shock? So to replace my entire front suspension it is going to cost me up to $1600 dollars! Is that correct?

you get both fronts for the $800 price range.. Good choice of shocks.. I just bought some myself..

You get 2 shocks for 800 bucks or so. Great choice. I got mine abotu 2 months ago but have yet to try them out. I can't wait.

Pm Jeff@TheQuadshop. He will get them for ya.

Or give the QUADSHOP a call. They are great to deal with.

Rico doesn't even have his 416 put back together yet. I think he said another Week.

$800 is for just the front right? If so how much is front and rear?

Dave400ex

Yeah around $800 for just the Fronts! The Rear depends. You can have your Stock Rear Rebuilt, or buy a Whole New Rear like Rico got. It could be from $300-$750.

Its hard to not come up with advantages....

Better handling
Wont bottom out as easy
Very adjustable
Rebuildable
You will be faster on a track because of better handling.
The ride will be a lot better and smoother.

lol if you mx good shocks are a must. You wouldn't beleive the differance between the stock shocks. Everything is better on them, they have more travel, don't fade very much, softer landings on the big jumps, smoother through the rough stuff, quad handles better depending on where you have the sag adjusted, easier on the machine, I could go on forever.

I think Shocks allow you to ride faster and be faster then any other mod you could buy. Trust me they are worth every penny....
