Alright, made the decision to sell one of the quads, and buy a bike......
I've ridden bikes most of my life, but still consider myself a rookie on a two-wheeler. I feel most comfortable on a 250, but I'm worried that I'm going to get that same feeling I had after I bought my first 400, and my buddy came over with his new 450.

take it from me... go with a 450 if you ride sand at all...
if you stay on hardpack a 250f will be plenty, but all of the people i ride with ride big bikes..so i ended up selling my 250f and going with a 450. Sandy tracks just rob the power from a 250f.

450 have mellow power if your not hammering down. I recently sold my 250f for my 450, at first I liked the 250 better but now im a lot faster on my fo-fiddy.

i've been wondering the same thing. because if i get a 250 and i find times that i want more power i would want to start moddifying it. and i've told myself if i get a bike i'm leaving it all stock (motor wise) and if i have a 450 i would never have to worry about putting a pipe or cam or anything like that in it

Out of curiosity, have you ever thought of a 250 smoker. You can pick one up very cheap and they are still very fast if ridden correctly. I have an 05 yz250 I picked up for 1600 and I wouldnt trade it for anything. The bike flies if you know how to handle it.

Honestly I'm not. I'd have no problem with a Yammy. I'm just much more familiar with the red versus the blue. I think Yammy makes a great product.

Yes, but not seriously. I think they'd be plenty of fun, but I'm already pretty set up for 4-stroke bikes, and feel more comfortable with that type of riding.

CRF's have been around the longest and have quite proven themselves. There's a reason the CRF's have been some of the best selling bikes!

not true, the yzf 400 started the 4 stroke revolution in motocross back in 1998, honda was second and started the CRF'r bikes in 2002 with the crf450r
