Looking for 400ex motor

Im looking for a good running used 400ex engine. Or any information on where to pick one up. Or maybe a rebuilt one. Cant seem to find anything like that. Im new to atv's and not sure how to find engines

Thanks for the info. I have looked and everyone wants an arm and a leg for them (the ones I have found). Trying to do this fairly cheap other wise I can buy a new one.

i have a yamaha 400 motor it needs some work but it will kill any 400ex motor mine is liquid cooled and has 5 valves needs gaskets rings and 5th gear looked at wont accelerate in 5th it came from a dirtbike but i had it in a 400ex frame just throwin it out there leme know if ur interested

What would it take and how easy is it to get into my frame? Plus would my exhaust fit?

I am looking to pay aroud $500. But open to reasonable prices. Do you have a motor?
