03 cannondale 440 noisy engine

I was hoping I could get some info on these dales.I just got a good deal on a 03 440.The pesron i got ti from said he sent it to Utah to have a 450 kit in it awile back.He said they were riding it in the dunes and it stoped running.I got it home and it had broken vacum lines.So I changed them and the fuel filter.After that it stared right up.To me it sounds noisy in the bottom end.It does not knock at all.Seems to run very strong.I have not tried to ride it b/c im worried about the noise.I did a youtube search and found a few that all had the same sound.Here is the link to one eninge in a dirt bike,that sounds the same

Just seems to be noise like this bike in lower engine.Is this normal?Also how can I tell which model I have by my vin?Says on title its a 2003 first sold on the end of 2002.It has a green sticker,HMS exhaust, AC Nerf bars, Tag handle bars etc.If anyone wants to trade im looking for a TRX250R or later year Jap 400-450 etc.

Hey I see your in Bakeo? I'm in Hanford. With 3 Cdales. Yes they are noisy. But i'd pull your oil filter and see if it has any metal shavings on it.
Do you know who did the 450 kit? I'm not sure who was in Utah? Maybe it was Haydug? Also that vent line wont affect how it runs. You can post the vin and we can tell witch model it is. Alos whos the name of the guy your bought it from?

I got it from some guy named Jeff on craigs list.I did pull the oilfilter(btw where can I get an oil filter?)did not see any shavings etc.Ive read about putting Magnets in the engine.Where do they put them?My in vin # is 5b6bd31g13b000010 it was first sold 09/06/02 and its says its a 2003 model.I have no idea what model it is?MX,Blaze etc

I think he said he sent it to blackwidow atv.When i got it I didnt know much about them.I did test ride the E440 dirtbike at Glen Helen probbaly 8-10 years ago.So Im going to call him tomorrow and see what all was done.Would be nice if it had the z400 update etc.I am open for trades.

If the motor was sent to BlkwATV then that's a good thing,99% sure it has the z400 update.
You can get the filter from Blkwatv or Dave Muller,might even have them on ebay.
You can stick a pellet magnet in one of the cleats on the filter. Or even get a drain plug with it built into it.
