i just got a dg skid for mine. it seems to be holdin up real good. i have hit a few big rocks and there are only small scratches.

did you have any problems mounting the DG plates, are the bolts exposed on the plates?

it wasnt hard to put on, but when it is on it looks a little crooked but it is mounted right and holds on strong. none of the bolts are really exposed. there are only 2 bolts on the bottom and they are allan heads and are set into the skidplate and the other bolt is up on the side. i think it is a pretty good skidplate.

I got Moose skids ( for a recon) $65 from www.motorcycleusa.com

Holding up real good after 1 1/2 years.

the only skid i will even get that is if i absolutely need it, cause the quad already comes with a shaft guard is a DG Baja Swingarm... cause i look at my chasis every once in a while and my engine chasis is fine, but my swingarm skid could use replacing... but a skid plate would be the last thing id buy cause i wanna use my money to put more speed into it....or if i had chain drive ;)

i ahve made my own skids and i thin they are better than any other skids out there on the market, i was selling them at one point but not enough people were interested.

You could also get a pro-tec stainless steel skid. They are about $120 i think off their site. www.protecfabrications.com
