Im heading off to the dunes for the first time and want to buy some paddles. i hear a lot of good things about the haulers but im worried about cornering. anyone out there have experience with straight and v blade designs?

use strait paddles, i cant tell any difference in the v-pattern than the strait, i have never spun out in the dunes and i have strait paddles.

trust me i would get skat trak haulers! they throw one hell of a roost plus they corner very well in my opinion!

It depends what you want to do with the quad. If you spend all day at the drag strip then get some Haulers or Extremes. If you just cruise the dunes then I would get a set of v-paddles, like the Skat Trak Edge. They will be much more fun to ride with.

x2 if you are just play riding you will have more fun with v's. I would stick with edge's or i just started using sand stars. both are great v paddles. straight go with haulers

i would go with the lighter Edges over the HEAVY Sand Stars!

Count me in as another vote for straight paddles.

You may lose a tiny bit of cornering ability, but the foward bite is 100% worth it. Everyone I know that bought V paddles ended up going back to straight's in the end.

I ran straight cut GBC sand devils two years ago and I liked them alot, I could slide around with ease and would hook in a straight line. last year I used some V cut AMS sidewinders and hated them. Im going with Haulers this year, I won't go back to V paddles

I have a pair of 20x11x9 (6) paddle Extreme Haulers for sale that I had on my LTR.....they have (4) days of ride time on them.

Let me know if this would interest you.

I am 1 of those that went from straights to v blades, and i will never go back. I hardly drag race and when i had my haulers compared em to the edges on a steep hill and shifted nearly in all the same spots as with straight's but, again it's what type of riding you do. And i again, hardly drag race.
