swappng rear shocks

I read on here somwhere that you can put a Banshee front shock on the rear of a 250EX... Is this true or am I imagining things now? If you can, what will this do for me (benifits) and how hard is it to do? What year Banshee does it need to come off... Thanks...

Yes it is true, it gives you more suspension travel, like 9.1 but ive heard its good and bad, like sometimes it will bottom out in the rear easier cause it is a front shock, but is a lot smoother ride, you could buy a aftermarket (1) banshee shock just one and it would even better, and its not hard to do, it just bolts right on. I just bought works dual rates for the front, for my 250ex cant wait to get them.
