reading on previous post that some are using rotella 15w40 and mobil 1. doesn't the oil for the honda 400ex's have to be wetclutch approved. I don't think the rotella 15w40 and mobil 1 is.

It doesnt necessarily need to be "wet clutch approved". It needs to be not energy conserving. Rotella and mobile 1 are both widely used but they still need to be the right kind of oil. You could probably get the wrong kind of oil for both. I have used both and now stick with the mobil but everybody and every bike is different. Mine shifts alot smoother with the mobil 1. Theres a million threads on here about oils, try searching it.
