on the rear shock there is a pare nuts that set atop the spring , loosen and then turn the bottom one to compress the spring then move the top one down till its tight to the bottom one,

on the side of the shock head there is a place to turn with a screw driver ,soft or hard , fast or slow . look close you'll see an arrow to indicate what you'll get if you go one way or the other

you can get it a little lower that way but not much , if you really want it down and i mean a all most level swing arm your going to have to get a lowering link , you can get them from ebay but be carefull , the prices are all over the place $30-$80 .
i have one and i love it.

On the compression and rebound. Set them to the second to last setting. Meaning, the rebound needs to be set to the 2nd to lowest setting and the compression needs to be set to the 2nd to last lowest setting. Then start working your way up to where its comfortable to you. DO NOT SET THEM TO THE LAST CLICK!!!!!! Otherwise you have just closed the oil orfice and the spring will be doing all the work!!!

do you think the lowering link is worth it and is it a tough install?

If you want to lower the rear end the right way, go buy a extended swinger with a LT shock. Those links are junk.

Every rider preference is different even with the same weight. Heres an idea. Go ride your quad over some terrain at 5-10 miles per hour. If it feels good, then its set up wrong!!!!!!! Rule of thumb: If it feels like sh*t going slow, then it must kick a## when going fast.

No, try around $1800.00 new. Im telling your from personal experience. Im a old man the weights 135lbs and I snap that cheap sh*t on a simple 4 ft jump. Umm, it also costed me a new sub-frame. Its a great link for cheap if your gonna Flat track or TT race. I sure the hell wont jump that crap again after what happened to me.

You got two ways IMO to run a lower end without spending an as$load on a swinger or shock or that crap link. One, get your stock shock re-shafted or install a heavier and shorter rear spring. IMO!!!;)
