Tool box question

Will the tool box off of an 86/87 fit an 88/89? If yes; I'm golden...if not- would any of you be interested in one? I just bought one for my 89 and didn't realize the seller specified an 86/87.

Will it bolt up directly? Answer NO the bolt holes are spaced differently.

Can you make it work - probably. All you'd need to do is make a bracket that narrows the bolt pattern.

Ahh crap. Well, we'll see...if I can't work up a decent looking bracket out of a little aluminum, then I'll probably put it back on ebay. Just thought it would be nice to have; not absolutely necessary. Thanks for the reply!

My tool box mounts broke on mine. (1986 250R). Was looking for something cheap.
Found out a polaris scramble tool box will fit . My buddy has one so I was able to measure it to make sure it would fit. Just have to slot one of the holes just a tad.
Here is a picture. Got this one for like 5 or 10 bucks of ebay.
