i am wanting start racing next season and have never raced before. i am woundering if you guys can give me some helpfultips. i ride a 2008 polaris 450mxr

run to get your endurance up, drink alot of water, ride at your own pace.

Hold it wide open and lean back :) haha endurance is very important. The better shape you are in and the longer you can stay at 100% while racing, the better you will do. Also, dont tense up and breath steadily. Alot of people can ride 20 laps really quick in practice and still be fine, but when its race time they are worn out and have arm pump after lap 2. Thats because they get too tense on the bars and are nervous. Just relax and have fun.

every time you're about to go on the track, take a few big breaths until you can't breath in anymore and let it out slowly. Stretches you're lungs and helps you breath a little bit better. At least that's what it does for me.

EYES UP! look where your going, not at what your tires are running over. and remember to breathe, at all times. repeat it to your self over and over in your head..
