Well my labor ride was cut short lol. I was riding on some of my land and soon as i make back to the house i see it smoking alot so i shut it off. Look down oil is everywhere I start to panic. Then i look at where the oil filter is and theres a bolt missing and oil pouring out. I got lucky that it was just a bolt came out and shut it down fast. Guess i better locktite em next time i change the oil which is soon lol. Anybody ever had that happen before?

Which one came out? Are you sure the its not stripped? Those bolts are a 6x1 thread and very easy to strip.

I snapped the long one the other day. Twisted off like butter. Long holiday weekend waiting for the dealership to open tomorrow. Rode a bit yesterday and it didn't leak.

Man that sucks. Is some of it still stuck in there? The second oil change I did on mine I stripped the short one, luck thats the easy one to fix.

they dont take much force at all to tighten. Just finger tighten it, tight as you can, then barely turn it with the wrench.

Which 450?

x3 you will snap the head off just trying to loosen it. Those oil filter bolts scare me everytime I change the oil. That long one is so easy to snap I know several people that have done it including myself. Never use socket wrenches on the bolts only the regular hand wrench for feel. Socket wrenches give you a false sense on how tight they are because of the leverage.
