300EX plastic changes

Alright i'm fairly happy with the look of my 300ex with the stickers and decals i have on it now...but i really dont like the curve of the rear fenders....i like how the 400ex rear fenders are much straighter as they go back...so if i wanted to put rear 400 plastic on it...how hard would it be...i have searched and heard that i need plastic and the seat...but i heard mixed things about the latch...one person said it hooks right on...another said u have to modify the latch...so can this be done easily or wut will i have to do...thanks...and will the plastic rub anything...

i was thinking about doing this too...i dunno how hard it is i'm guessing its not too hard...heres a pic

I think you have to use the front fenders off a 400ex too because there will be a gap between them, some shaving is required too i think.

could try aftermarket low profile rear plastic for the 300ex. made by maier. it is more swept back and flatter like you are talking about and resembles the 400ex rear fender alot. :)
