are 400ex and 300ex spindles the same?

i was thinking...im starting from scratch on my new quad..and i will need caliper,rotors, mastercylinders, and rear hubs.. what if i bought an old junk blown up 300ex and used all of its parts..may save me a hundred or 2

There not exactly the same but they will work. I got tired of breaking spindles on my 250X, so I put 400EX spindles on there. The front brake calipers from all of the 250X, 300EX, and 400EX's are the same (ie- 250X front calipers will bolt up to 400EX spindles and vice versa). You might have to use 400EX front hubs also. My X is an '87 model, which uses a different front wheel bolt pattern than all the other X's and EX's, so I went ahead and swithced hubs too.
