Well, I just had a xc race with my new front setup. gibson elka...absolutely awesome. but now my stock rear with a gtt link is not keeping up. I could soak up the rough stuff in the field sections but my rear would catapult me off the seat. will a stock rebuild give me what I'm looking for to keep up with the long travel front or do I need to go with something aftermaket. Also, what will I look for used. Do I need something that is specifically built for my stock rear with gtt rear link, or is a standard aftermaket shock going to work?

and its only like 400 bucks with the link, correct?

But how will it compare to an aftermarket? and what is the cost for just a shock rebuild?
