Nerf bar mounting

I had a set of chrome steel Graydon Proline nerfs on my 88/89 250R; the kind that bolt thru factory footpegs, and have the mounting bar across the front of the frame.

I bought a set of new big-tube aluminum Graydon pro-peg style nerfs that I think will work real well, but they came w/o the front mount. I can't use my old one because of the tube size.

Should I fabricate a mounting bar/plate like on my old nerfs, but only to fit the new ones? I don't want to cobb it up.

i dont see why you couldnt. as long as it's fabbed up correctly and made to look like the other setup. :cool:
