2007 trx450er carb on a 2004

I bought a 2007 450er carb and airbox to put on my 2004. Then I read some other threads that said that it will not fit under the gas tank. Is there a way to modify the carb to fit? I would rather not modify the gas tank. what about an aftermarket tank, will that solve the problem? thanks in advance for the advice....

Get an adapter to run a fcr on 04-05. Check out Dasa, they sell em.

He doesn't need the adapter, hes using an 06+ airboot.

To get the 06 TRX carb to fit under the gas tank u need to trim the top of the carb some.
I think its just part of the throttle cable housing ur trimming off if I remember right.
I'm sure someone that has done it can explain it better or post a picture.
