Excessive Carbon Buildup...

What would cause excessive carbon buildup on my plug? I just put a fresh top end in, one or two easy break in rides and now the plug is completely toasted in carbon. never seen it like this before..

What could be the problem?

rich? too cold of a plug? maybe some oil burnt just from the rings sealing again and what not? idk
