Does anyone know if or who makes an oer sized tank for DRR? We run harescrambles and we can not make it without stopping for gas. I want to find an oversized tank if possible.

Our races are 45 min. to 1 hr long and we can not make it on fuel for the 1 hr and it is really close for the 45 min. race and I really hate having to stop for gas because he really loses alot of time. I'm not sure where I will put it that's why I was asking to see if anyone made an oversized tank.

our WORCS races are 45 minutes long this year, and we can make it ok. 1 hour would be a different story. You can take a stock oil injection tank, leave it in its stock location, put some type of heat shield on it from the pipe, and plumb it in line with your main tank. this is about your only option, as i dont know of any larger main tank available or that would fit.

I had thought about it but I was checking about An oversized tank first.

Are you running off the top outlet on your tank or off the bottom outlet of the tank. Do you run on the on position or the res side of your shut off? The ressi tank holds alot of fuel. Just wondering.

I always run him on reserve for that purpose of more fuel avalible. I am going to do some testing with him just to see if he can make the hour.

if your running full out with a large carb, you wont make it. We run a 28mm carb full out for 45, and BARELY make it.

The only bad thing is that we are only running a modded 24 mm carb that I have worked over. I am in the process of going to a 28mm carb. We will see what the testing brings.

Let's see a pic of the dolphin tank.... I've heard of desert and xc guys stretching tanks, gains you alittle. I believe you have to pressurize it and fill with hot water but not for sure. Maybe if enough of us talk to IMS they can make a limited run of xc tanks.

do some research local and find out who does injection molding.
find somebody there who likes bikes and get them interested, they can make you a tank that will stick up above your plastic but you will have to trim it around your new tank. They can do it no sweat but you gotta find the guy that is interested in this or they will blow you off.
