I bought some parts & spare jets from the Honda dealership today for my used 38A/S, including a factory needle from the 2000 CR250 Microfische.

Could someone de-code the heiroglyphics on this needle?

A715
289R
A327
A487

I also have a DDJ, CEG, and CGJ to play with as well.

Thanks!!

Arlen with LED suggest DDj with a 38 A/S.....I'm currenly running a DDJ myself but might try a DDk to lean out the 1/4 throttle area.

Keihn has a needle chart explaining the letters and what area of the throttle it affects.

I left the DDJ in there and put it back to the middle clip; it was a carb that had been massaged/bored by LED to begin with. I put in the 175/48 combo that worked well in my 38PJ. Haven't ridden it yet, but seemed to start/idle/choke fine and had good response when I blipped the throttle...better than my PJ it seems. We'll see.

Have you thought about calling Arlen and asking him since he massaged the carb? He has me running 55/175/middle clip on DDJ......

Ehh; I bought it used off of here and not right from Arlen. If I remember correctly, the person I bought it off of was running it on a 310 or 330, and I only have a 67.5 stock ported cylinder.

I would expect it to be realatively easy to dial in once I get it on the ground. I'm still waiting on an axle setup.

I just finished a friends bike that was an older LRD mid/top port stock cylinder with 67.7 and a 38A/S, Arlen suggested 52/175/DDJ. The bike runs really good.

Not sure this helps or not.....
