new rear rotor

i just got a new galfer rear rotor for my kfx and the plate on the caliper is in the way for the rotor to go in between the pads. someone eles told me that that plate can be moved over and its just thair so the caliper can move with the rotor. any suggestions?

I know what your problem is! There are two shafts that that plate slides back and forth on for adjustment. The shafts have rubber boots to seal them from dirt and water. Unfortunatly mine had too much water in them and the shafts rusted up and would not allow the plate to move. I had to rebuild with new shafts and rubber boots and now it adjusts fine. Good luck! Maybe your's isn't as bad as mine was...
