I have a 89'lt 250r and I need to change my transmission oil, any reccomendations for what oil to use?

I like Bel-Ray Gear Saver oil, works great. Lots of guys use Type F automatic transmission fluid with good results. Lastly, a well respected Quadracer mechanic uses 10w30 engine oil. Lots of choices, just don't use 80w90 gear oil or a light-weight motor oil and you'll be fine.

10w30 synthetic w/ NO FRICTION MODIFIERS/ADDITIVES!! Penzoil Platinum is a great one!

I use straight 30w... Penzoil. Used it since new, change EVERY ride and never, ever had a clutch issue.

If you use motor oil use a synthetic.

I always used golden spectro SX clutch saver ran it in my built ATC250R for a few years riding hard with no issues

10w30 synthetic Penzoil Platinum is also what i use seems to work great
same as fx4pitrone
