Ok, help me out here.

I really dig the idea of a yz426 in a 400ex frame. So, if I get a frame that will accept a yz426 motor and the rest of the frame accepts standard 400ex parts (a arms, swing arm shocks etc...), all I gotta get is the 426 motor and a radiator and I'm set to go??

I can get a Lonestar frame for like $2000 and the motor for like $2000...is that all it takes to build something like this??

Or is it more than that??Sorry if this is a stupid question...

With a lonestar frame you have to use a lonestar swingarm (about $500). I think everything else bolts up.

In addition to the motor and radiator, you will need a custom pipe (trinity makes one), modifications to the kickstarter (I think), an airbox adaptor, and all the yz electronics and carb. You should look through mxbubs post on this as he did a conversion and posted some great info.

Most frames that accept a yz426 motor use 250r plastics, airbox, you would need a new rear shock, they use a direct link shock, swing-arm, radiator, alot of them use 250r braking systems, and a few other little things to, it doesnt seem like alot until you start adding up all the little stuff.

im currently building a YZF quad and im gonna run a modified stock 400ex frame..U will need a smaller sleeve so ur swing arm bolt will fit nice and tight with the swingarm...Also you will need a different oil tank that retails for $269.95..I can get u the sleeve made for a price $
