no fire on 90

Hey guys, i have a 2007 90 and just before the heat race on Saturday, we lost fire on the spark plug. The wiring harness has been removed. I think I have narrowed it down to the CDI or stator. is there any way I can check these to see if one or the other is the problem?

did your geound from your engine to the frame come loose? Happened to me over the weekend and you get no spark from it.
