Spring for accelerator pump on a 300ex

Somehow (do not ask) the acelerator pump spring (between diaphram and cover) is lost on my 2001 300EX. They only sell it as a kit with the entire unit. Everything else is there and in great shape. I do not want to spend $60 to just get a spring. Anyone have any ideas as to where I can get just the spring or a good substitute? Thanks
