I have a sparks TT pipe and a hole rotted into the down pipe portion of it, I know sparks doesnt make these pipes anymore, so could anybody tell me what pipe I could get away with running since my motor is built for this pipe? IE same dimensions

I tried to patch it and the MIG on lowest setting burnt right through the second I pulled the trigger. I might see if I can have a guy i know make a patch to the right dinemsions...

if you want the performance of the sparks pipe you have send it back to sparks!!!!! they will charge you more than the local shop but how old is the pipe? they don't see the demand (that pisses me off) but you can't deny the performance.

yea. its pretty old. 5 years at least since ive had it. it works beautifuly with the portwork I am running right now which is why i want to keep it. do they still make them on demand if you need them?

damn its on the big end coming out of the corner, the metal just etched away from the ehat untill a hole was created, and i tried patching and well the hole right nwo is about half inch in diameter. for the time being i took some exhaust wrap and a band clamp and put around it till i get it figured out.

As for pipes that are similar to your Sparks TT, I would say the ESR TRX5, ESR TRX9, or Paul Turner Eliminator pipes would probably be the closest. Those are all "mid-top" pipes with the ESR TRX5 probably having a little better low end than the other two.

so the TT pipe is more or less just a mid-top end pipe? i thought it was all top and no bottom. i guess thats what it seems like with my motor

Didn't Shearer make their pipes for them? I read it some years ago, maybe call them. It may be the same, just no tag on it. Most of the big companies have others who make their stuff and once they get the unfinished stuff, they pc them and call them theirs. The guy who is building my custom crf450r trike does this.

it's not much different that the sparks mx pipe, just pulls a little longer up top. if you're use to top end a trx5 can be had for a reasonable price and may give you a little more punch
