i JUST RECENTLY BOUGHT A 02 400EX WITH A 426 KIT,WITH A STAGE 3 HOT CAM. THE GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM DIDNT KNOW THE VALVE LASH SETTINGS,DOES ANYBODY KNOW THEM.

I HAVE HAD A 400EX WITH A 416 KIT BEFORE. HOW GOOD IS THE 426 KIT IS IT RELIABLE. I LIKE THE POWER THAT IT HAS.

THANKS FOR READING AND YOUR HELP

i would say as long as you keep it cool it should be just as good as the 416. make sure you change the oil often and keep everything in good working condition. i am not sure exactly what the specs are off hand but i think it is .005" and .006" for the hotcam. i will search real quick and see if i can find it. steve

it is intake .13 mm and .15 mm for exhaust so .005 and .006 yup you should be good. i figured i had better check again to make sure for the stage 3. i thought it was the same but you never know. steve

The carb has been hoged out, after market air box, HMF complete pipe, uni airfilter, 426 kit, port and polished alittle. It has hand gaurds, nerfs, stock wheels, stock shocks, carbon fiber hood scoop, maier plastic,, I think i am gonna set up for cross country riding.

I used to race motocross about 6yrs ago, till i broke my legs.

dude that sucks, next thing it sounds like you should work on is the susp. motor work sounds great. get some nice tires for woods, a arms, and an extended axle. then you can do some more stuff to the cosmetics if you want. do you have any pics of it? steve

me too but to each his own. How do you like the stage 3 anyway? you should try a stage 2 and see how it does with that instead, i would be curious to see some numbers and see how different all three are with each bore. i think there is still a best one for each compression and bore. steve
