Completely different, no chance at all.

it may be possable but it would be worthless you would be running a 429cc roughly, the only thing i wish i would have done was run a 06 and up cylinder and piston on my 05 it would have been a really cheap big bore kit

lol I'd like to see someone get that to work. There is so many major things stopping that setup.

Ive herd of 06+ heads on 05 engines but swamping cylinders and cranks? You have the same chance of success as sticking a crank from a civic in a viper.

i don't see why id wouldn't work if you swaped the crank and the cylinder to 06. aren't the cases the same?

No everything is very different.
The 06+ engines are a total redesign compared to the 04-05s.
The only swappable parts that I can think of off hand are cams, shims, clutch parts, oil filter.

i did not know that but i have never had or really looked at 06 and up 450r.

sorry to get off topic but what about 06 and up exhaust?

Exhaust won't work either. However, I have heard of an 05 head on an 06.

the engines are totally different. Although we did put an 06 head on an 05. It took machining and its still running 2 years later but it wasnt a direct bolt on change.
