Hey Glamis.
Thats a tough choice.
I'm thinking the hp gain would be about the same on either one.
With the carb you will get more top end. More torque. And a cooler running engine. Plus its a bolt on mod.
The higher comp. piston and cam, will give you a snappier power all around.
I'm a big fan of carbs, and I like the extra torque in the sand. So a carb gets my vote. But either choice would be good. Hopefully someone who has done these mods can give there opinion on how it felt.

i would suggest doing the piston and a cam. that way in the future every other mod you make will be even better:p adding the carb after engine work will give you big power increase over the stock.

I would suggest the piston and the cam for an initial mod. Do the carb later. The carb on a stock motor will get you more air in and is not getting it out due to the stock cam lift and duration. Don't get me wrong the carb will help a stock motor but not as much as a cam and piston would and add the carb later..
