What would be a good rear shock for me? I ride trails. I dont have the money for an elka or ay thing like that. My stock 250r shcok is shot. Im about 120lbs if that makes any diff.

even the stocker with fresh oil and seals is a dang good shock imo. Just doesnt provide enough travel.

I picked up a completely rebuilt, sprung and valved for me Works rear shock from a guy off of ebay for $340 w/shipping. The shock was used but looks great and everything on it was replaced.

I had a shot R rear shock that was going to need a new rod and spring and be rebuilt and valved. Most of the estimates I came up with was about the same as what I got the Works for.

I just kept looking and I found what I was looking for and for a price that I could justify.

For the money I would just send your stock shock out to be rebuilt and revalved. You will be surprised what that Showa is capable of when in the hands of a competent individual.
