I have a 2000 400ex and I want to get new front shocks for it. I'm really looking at the works triple rate shocks. I have a couple of questions though. Do I really need rezzies?, What will the difference be btween dual rate and triple rate? What kind of a difference will I see between the stock and the works shocks? Can I ad rezzies later if I want?
Thanks

Oh yeah 95% of the time I'm trail riding and some jumping.

I think the Works will be what you want. Just go with the Triple Rates, they are much better. You don't see many Dual Rates anymore. I suggest getting the Rezzies if you ride hard for a long time, but if money is short you can add them later...

the works are ok.......but if you can save up and get either works pro series or elkas you will be way more satisfied. i had the works tripple rates w/ rezzies and when i got my elkas i couldnt believe the difference. well woth the difference in price...and IMO well worth the wait if you need time to save up:)

Works I think are around $550 now and the Elka's like I have in my Signature you could get around $750 right now before they make the prices increase.

Yeah there were some Elka's in the For Sale forum not long ago that were around $550 the same as the ones that were $750 new! You could also check Ebay. Only thing you may need to do with used Shocks is have them Revalved/Rebuilt for you!
