new 88 hood 450

for those prices i would not sit on it

I don't think it's the key they were after I think it was the dash pad and it was because it had the sticker on it. and it was in great shape.

I laughed when he started the description off with "Before you say I'm on crack...."

I mean, MAYBE there's someone out there who wants to do a complete and correct resto, but I seriously doubt cylinder heads can't be had for less.

I don't think there is any scam going on. A new 250r head list price is $230 and I would gladly pay $200 for one if it was new alot of NOS parts are going for up to 5X list price if they are discontinued.

Never said it was a scam, just ridiculous.

Actually, a new ATC head (it was an '85 head) lists for well over $400 at Service Honda.

Are they "going" for 5X the list price, or just "listed" for 5X the price?

I got one of those 85 "crate" motors and I think the top end that came off of it, piston was seized in it. Maybe I should part it out, also. $500 for the crank, cases $800, sell each tranny part seperate, I might be able to turn a $500 motor(I paid) into 2-3 grand!!!! If I have to top end and head, thats even more.
