Well my daughter's birthday is coming up in October and I am looking at getting here a 4 wheeler. What would you recommend? She is going to be 10 and she is a small girl, only like 60lbs. I don't want to get anything pricey as she will out grow it quickly and nothing that will go really fast as my wife will kill me. Let me know what you guys think.

You are going to get alot of different opinions on this one, but my opinion is to keep it cheap and buy one of the little 90cc chinese quads that go for about $600.

We have a couple local shops that sell and service them. From what I have seen, they are surprisingly dependable and are very cost effective. You get electric start, front and rear suspension, head light, throttle limit ability, remote shut off and alot of other options. You can also pick them up in about four or five different colors including pink. Not bad for $600.

I found a place online its called budgetatvs.com

Most places offer free shipping too.

Those are a good deal for the money. I paid about $500 for a 50cc Kazuma for my son. Lasted a couple years before they outgrew it, never had a problem other than replacing the battery and then sold it to a neighbor for $350. The JetMoto is a good dependable 90cc quad.

stay away from bestpriceatv.com. I tried to order one from them couple of years ago. They were easy to get a hold of when ordering, after that almost impossible get a real person on the phone. 2 weeks after expected delivery, no quad. Finally got someone to tell me they were on back order. They called me 2 months later and asked if I still wanted it. Already had bought an Outlaw 90.
Make sure if you do get one of those Chinese brands, you get it from a shop than can and does get parts and works on them. Good luck.

I started my son who was 5 at the time on a predator 90 he is now 8 and it still fits him fine. I figure he has at least one more year maybe 2 on it before I look to move him up to possibly a Rappy 250. BTW the Predator has been absolutely trouble free.

i know that its not a quad but i bought my son a crf50 when he was 4. installed some center mount training wheels and he loves it. and its a honda 1 kick after winter storage and it fired right up. just my opinion.

I think I have found the one I am going to get. It's on Craigslist and it's a Chinese brand utility styled 110.

i would say that a trx 90 would be pretty good for her to start since it has throttle stops and such on it and you can keep it in 1st gear until she gets comfortable with it. then when she gets better she can start to shift and have a bit more fun. she can have many years of fun on it and it will be trail ridable without worry of enough power to make it up hills and stuff as she gets bigger. just my .02 though. any 90 would do just fine if you have a certain preference over another. steve

I looked at a 90 today at the honda shop but they wanted 2600 for a 2008 and that is just not worth it to me to find out if she likes it or not.

ditto.
The trx 90 is bullet proof, has a throttle limiter, and you can remove the shifter so that she cant possibly hit another gear by accident. It will outlast ANY Chinese brand, parts are readily available, used resale value will hold for many years, reliability is top of the line, and it will last her for MANY years.
hell, when she DOES outgrow it, you'll probably still keep it as a pitbike for yourself. Try expecting all that from a Chinese model.

on top of all that, it is probably the MOST modifiable, upgradeable, "trick-outable" quad out there, second ONLY to a 400EX.

it is more stable, more controllable, more modifiable, more reliable, more re-sellable, and more long lived.
but other than those qualities,... it's junk JK

The Polaris 90s are awesome! They are automatic, well built, and parts are available!

My friends daughter is 5 and has a Suzuki QuadSport 90 and she loves it. She does very well going over most terrain on the trails. It looks to be well built as well. It looks like she will be able to ride it for many years before outgrowing it.

exactally the same quad I got for my daughter in near mint condition. I paid $1300, and it came with an extra set of new rear paddles, and a rear flag pole.

you should be able to pick this up for $1100 - $1200
