Finally got my DS back from two months at the dealer getting the clutch update done. My brother brought it back from Minnesota and the first time I had seen the quad in two months was Friday morning. Worked on it a little bit and then headed to the race track about noon. The race was on Saturday and it is 10 hour team race. I raced with two of my brothers. One has a LTR and the other has a Outlaw. We started out the race on my brothers LTR. About midway through we switched to my DS and actually ended up running it for most of the second half the race. Even after riding the DS for half the race non stop we only had one problem. That was after running for a little bit of the night portion we found out that the DS can't handle running the stock headlights and a 4 inch HID light all at once. We had to switch back to the LTR for the last three laps because the battery on the DS was drained. Other then that we had no problems at all with the DS. It never over heated. The temp light never even came on. We raced in the B class and ended up finishing 5th.

The clutch update does help. before the update it would squeal really bad. After doing the update and riding it for 5 hours non stop it never squealed once!

After riding the LTR and then my DS I am reminded why I bought the DS. After riding my DS during the race I think I may have convinced my brother with the outlaw to seriously look at buying a DS. Just so you know he is riding a 08 Outlaw straight axle 525 with a pipe and fox floats completely setup for XC racing. My 09 DS XXC is completly stock with a stick stabilizer.

Thats awesome, good to hear some positive results about the DS. Thats a heck of a long race glad to hear it was trouble free. Good job.
