my 400 wouldnt start the other day so I pulled the plug and its black and wet. and this is a brand new plug with not even a hour of ride time. the topend has just been freshend up with new oem rings and hone, new 450 timing chain and tensioner, and new gaskets/oil seals and cleaned all the carbon from the exhaust and combustion chamber. also put in a brand new plug also. I cleaned the plug and got it to spark again but if foulded out again after riding some more. I checked the jets in the carb for the first time and its got a 170 main and 38 pilot. when its running it runs and revs good, just feels kinda slugish in the topend power and takes forever to try and rev out to the box, and it pops some on decel. only mods on it are a full big gun exhaust and uni foam filter with no lid.

is the main jet way to rich? I was thiking to droping to a 160 to see what it does. and would I be better off to get a 42 pilot, or would it be too rich then?

I think 42 and 160 would be a good try
