View Full Version : HEY guys ignition relocation along with neutral lights

Hey guys Im movin from the 300ex community to here, i just baught a 07 450r and thats goin to be my new race bike so i got Tag fatty bars to put on it and on the 450r where would u relocate the ignigtion? on my old race quad i had a custom built ignition plate. and with fatty bars it wouldnt work. any ideas?

hmm do u know if any companeys make like a super thin ignition plated that i could fit under the Lower Bar clamp? mines too thick to put on bottom but if they donth that plastic ideal i might have to do

I know www.roxspeedfx.com has them and Modquad handle bar clamps have them. I have one on mine that I will post a picture of it, but before I got it I put the key on my left fender up by the gas tank. Look at the blue arrow in the picture. If I could do it over I would of put it on the right side fender and my left hand would be there ready to hit the start button quickly.

i zip tied mine under the hood. Works fine!

This is what I did. I made a custom bracket for the key and used the holes already ion the frame for the lights...I just had to oversize them a little bit to make them fit.

if its a kicker, remove the key. Less troubles down the road unless of coarse someone steals it, then its easier for them...lol. I didnt think twice about cutting my key out.

trailtech clamps with the key holder is a nice piece. And it fits the stock stem.
