where is that mark in conjunction with tdc? my crank does not have the punch mark on the end, for counter balancer indexing?

maybe some one has there clutch cover off, or has a spare crank on the shelf? that can hook a bro up...:D

thanks deathman and randy. my hot rods i ditched didn't have one and my scribe mark almost dissapeared.looks to be at tdc. where my scribes appear to be. I am "testing" out a wiseco crank that didn't have the mark on it. i am in a time crunch so i couldn't go oem. (long story) heading to st. anthony,id. next week. if you hear from me next week, chances are she failed.:D thanks a ton guys for the reassurance

Some of the aftermarket cranks don't have the punch mark. Just turn the crank to TDC and consider the punch mark to be at the top of the crank at the point lined up with the length of the rod. Hope this helps.

if the mark is missing, which it was on one of my bikes. if the top end is off, life the crank to tdc and let the balencer fall to bdc. Then put the gears on an shes in time! but you have to be exact!
