Oil

I recently drained the oil in my four hundred and replaced it with new oil. I put about 2 quarts in and the tank seemed like it was pretty full. I rode around for a little bit to get the oil into the motor. I let it sit afterwards and then checked it again. It seems like it is a bit too full. Should I drain some or will it not hurt anything??

i'd drain some its not good to over fill an engine

Putting too much oil in can be just as bad as not putting enough in. If its only a little bit more its probably not a huge deal though.

Check the oil when its warm/hot.

you have to check it right to get a good reading. let it idle and warm up for like 5 minutes then test it on flat ground. that should give you a good reading. if you put 2 quarts in that were new you should be good unless they had too much oil in the quarts. steve
