estimating engine wear

I'm looking at a 2004 rancher 350 se. It has 492 hours on the engine. Is this a lot? should this honda last much longer? It doesn't smoke and has plenty of power. Does not look abused. Any info would be appreciated.

It should be fine as long as routine service was preformed.
