Will Honda make a 450EX any time soon?

Does anybody think that Honda will come out with a production CRF450 powered quad? It just seems like the 400EX is getting a little behind compared to the others.

i dont think so prolly later this year. or early next yeear but this isnt ddefinite they might never again produce another sport quad. :( Honda right now i think is more conserened with the 4x4 line cause thats were they can make the money right now they know the sport world is growing fast a little to fast for them so they are waiting to selll more of the 400s that are in storage rooms. Once the sport world takes a break from produceing quads i think that hoda will come out with a huge wheeler prolly a 500 efi the works. Thats my idea and yes there are rumors about a crf powered quad but i dont think they are truthfull. Anyone remember the night were honda released the new ranchermodles we all thoguht they were going to realease the 450 i think its gonna be like that forever or at least another year.

i dont think so because on a movie or in a mag or somewhere i seen an interview with the owner of honda and he never gave a straight answer but it sounded like they werent because he was sayin the 400 is as fast as they need to go and they dont like to even say honda and racing in the same sentence or something gay

no. they might make a CRF450EX and sleeve it down 10 cc to run it in the 440 class. or they might make a XR650EX using a XR650 engine so i'll run with the Predator, Raptor, V-Force, and others.
some time in 2004 on of the 2 will be released.

If they will make it, it will be a 450. After that, the GNC/GNCC rulebook will change the displacment (SP) to 450 instead of 440.

Honda has to keep up with business and they are having alot of competition right now so I think they will come out with one.

Don't forget Yamahas 450 which they (Said) they were in the process of doing so :eek:

yes but they also said that honda was making a 450 have you seen anything yet? I dont beleive a work a magazine prints. I se them for adds and then im like a lil 3rd grader i look at the purdy pictures lol

actually they supposedly developed it but decided against releasing it for unknown reasons....ive heard rumors of a new suzuki 450 motocross bike that is suppose to come out soon with 50 hp stock and they want to put that motor in the quad ....its all rumors tho but i heard the honda thing from a pretty reliable source
