ok ui went to go start it the other day and when i go to kick start it there is no comprssion at all NONE! does some one have nayidea what it is and how much it will cost to fix. thanks i really appreicate

sounds like it needs a rebuild. Cost of piston, rings, and a bossible bore or hone if the cyl is badly scratched

I agree to check it first , also if the valves have worn enough that your valve lash is to low - it can cause the valves to not seal when cold.

ya it ran then i put it back to sit and it had no compresson the next day. thios might sound dumb but where is the Decompression Valve located tahnks

I'd bet you tightened a valve too tight, etc.

Its right on the front of the motor, when u kick it over u will see it moving. Im with rastus on the valves, something could of gone wrong with the timing to, but who knows till u take the lid off and see.

could it have anything to do with the kick start? how much would it cost to get the decommpresson valve fixed and what about for new valves? thanks

If it was running fine, it shouldn't be anything major. Also check your spark plug to make sure its tight (funny things do happen!) If all else fails pull your timing plug out to see the flywheel to make sure the motor is turning over when kickstarting. Good luck!:rolleyes:
