i am told that i should put one of those little inline fuel filters on my fuel line but does it even work or am i just wasting my time? thanks

i think they work pretty good and you can put one on if you want. there is only like 3 inches of hose though to work with so you should probably get a longer peice to use. there is one in the petcock already also so this would be a secondary to that. good luck, steve

Definitely buy a foot or so of new fuel line from an auto parts store (less than $2) before you install it. The stock fuel line will be so bent into its current shape that it will be a pain to re-use it. Also its 5/16" (I think) and most fuel filters are for 1/4" line. The new 1/4" fuel line will fit on the fittings for the carb & petcock without needing clamps or anything. Use some water to make them easier to slide on.
