I need a timing chain for a restoration project I am building. Should I go with an OEM chain or something else like DID. This is for an 01 416 with stock valve train...

Any year crf450r. It 's the same as the 400ex but with an extra plate per link, so it's stronger. Check Servicehonda.com

I just got through installing a crf450 timing chain in my 400 this past weekend, alont with a new tensioner and rings. I was surprized at how much beefier the 450 chain is compared to the ex chain. I could even feel the weight difference just holding both chains in my hands. deffinatly a must have upgrade since its both cheaper AND stronger than a ex chain.
