Rear Suspension Question Outlaw 525

Howdy folks, new to being the owner of a quad (or quads as we are growing for the family). I recently purchased an 08 Outlaw 525s and have been out now a total of about 20-25 hours. The back spring is rubbing on the rear swing arm - is this normal? While I can expect some wear and tear it is rubbing off the red plastic coating on the spring and only happening on the left side, not the right. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you get this new?

2 things to check---lift it up till full extend it, and make sure the spring is not able to come off the cups, also be sure the bottom one is centered.

check for mounting area play.

AND a 3rd, the long one goes on the bottom, and the short one high.

Mine has room around it, but its not stock. the stock may be a little bigger dia, if i remember right.

Yes, I got it new about a month and a half ago. I'll check your suggestions, thanks. I was doing a substantial amount of jumping this last time out - playing at the dunes in Winchester Bay.
